This anklet is super cute. It's very girly and fits nicely. The chain is sturdy and very durable but it is thin because of the anklet purpose, you can't use it as a bracelet. (I saw some other review complaining that they were not able to use it as a bracelet). This is a Alex & Ani Original, but I felt it is necessary to let people know the one that I received did not come in a box or anything that would be considered attractive for gifting. So it you want to ship this as a gift, make sure you have them put it into a gift bag or box.I love this line of products. They are very well made. The charms are definitely stuck on, because they have soldered the metal pieces together with more metal. All in all I give them 10/10. I would recommend this anklet or any of the other pieces from the brand.Oh, I did have ONE last comment about the anklet/brand. You should definitely take this off (or any jewelry really) before getting in the water. Some people have complained about fading; but they have not removed their jewelry prior to bathing/showering, swimming and or getting in the ocean. It will help keep the piece from wear. The evil eye that is the center piece of the anklet is exactly as pictured. This is an anklet, so the chain is dainty with the evil eye being shown prominent.Lastly, I just wanted to share my experience when I had first got my anklet. Now this could just be a coincidence, but I had gotten a stroke of good luck shortly after I got my jewelry in the mail. I strongly believe that the pendant is the source of good luck and protection. Obviously it can be looked at in many ways, and I am a logical person. I don't have any other explanation as to the stroke of good luck...for once. When I used a search engine to see what the meaning of this pendant was, there are articles that have said that the evil eye or all seeing eye is a magnet for good luck and money...abundance is the word most often used. As well as protection. So I guess I've found a good luck charm - and I found it on sale!
